How do I rent a car?

You have the option of renting a car directly through this website, via telephone on +34 951 38 11 44 or +34 658 75 65 75, by sending an email to reservas@finauto.es or by coming to our office in person. Providing a valid credit card is not necessary in order to make a rental reservation.

What are the requeriments for renting a car?

In order to rent a car, you must have been in possession of a valid driving licence for at least two years. Moreover, you must be at least 21 years old for the economy and compact groups and at least 24 years old for the other groups.

Do I have to pay the full amount due when making the booking?

Yes, to make a reservation you have to pay the rental.

How do I change or cancel my booking? Does it cost anything?

If you would like to modify or cancel your booking, you should request the change as soon as possible or at least 48 hours in advance, either by email at reservas@finauto.es or in person at our office. If you modify your booking, the rental price will be recalculated. If you cancel it, we will refund you the whole amount minus the processing fee (€30).

What documentation do I need to rent a car?

When picking up the car, you are asked to present your ID card or passport, a driving licence valid in Spain. If you have any doubts about whether your driving licence is valid in Spain, you can check the website of the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT: https://bit.ly/2f0Dqnu) or you can send us an enquiry via email (reservas@finauto.es).

Can I pay in cash?

Yes, we accept payments in cash. However, presenting a valid credit card that belongs to the holder of the contract remains obligatory.

Where should I pick up my rental car?

During the booking process you are asked to choose your desired pickup time and place from the options offered (office or airport). If you decide to pick up your rental car at Malaga Airport, you must send your flight number via email to reservas@finauto.es, in order to facilitate the hand over by our staff and avoid delays. The company will contact you and provide you with the necessary information.

Where can i return the car?

You must return the car either at the time and place indicated in your contract (office, Airport, hotel or home addres) or any working day during office hours.

Can I extend my contract?

If you would like to extend the period of your rental contract, you must make the request in person at our office at least 24 hours before the expiration of the contract. You must then pay the corresponding amount and obtain the company’s written authorisation. It is important that you do not exceed the expiration date of your rental contract, so that the expiration of your insurance cover can be avoided.

What does my insurance cover?

All the cars included ROAD SERVICE assistance in Spain and CIVIL LIABILITY. In addition to the above, ensures possible damages to the vehicle itself in the event of a collision or accident, (CDW) but you would be responsible for paying an excess fee. The amount of the excess depends on the kind of the car.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

A security deposit is not required for rentals paid by bank card (online or offline). The card must be nominative. You will be charged only the cost of a car rental.
If you pay by cash in the office, you are required to leave a security deposit. Its amount depends on the category of vehicle and ranges from €450 to €900.

what is the fair fuel policy?

Our company does not make any profit with fuel. When you pick up the car, we write down the amount of fuel contained in the vehicle’s tank and when you return it, you should make sure that the car’s tank contains the same amount of fuel as when you picked it up.

How much does it cost to add a second driver?

Adding a second driver does not cost anything.

How many kilometers can I travel with my rented car?

Our company’s normal price rate includes unlimited mileage for all rentals. Specific promotional offers with a reduced price for car rentals can be subject to mileage limitations.

Can I leave Spain with the rental car?

In accordance with our insurance policy, you can travel throughout the entire Iberian Peninsula, including Portugal and Gibraltar. If you would like to travel outside of the Iberian Peninsula, you must notify the company, pay for additional insurance and obtain written authorisation. Failing to do so means you will not be covered by your insurance and will be solely responsible for the situation.

Can I rent child seats?

Yes, the company can provide you with child seats that you can hire for your rental car. According to Spanish legislation, the client is responsible for the installation and use of these.
